Samsung Wave S8500 is a sleek touch screen mobile phone that combines many breakthrough technologies. It has an innovative 3.3-inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology, used in Samsung’s LCD and LED TVs. Wave operates on Samsung’s Bada smartphone Operating System. Configurable latest TouchWiz 3.0 User Interface offers two home screen modes: The first one comes with five home screens where live widgets can be stored. While, the second one is somewhat like a generic menu, but just laid out over an additional three home screens and features things like Twitter, Facebook, Address Book, Email and Settings etc. Also, you can easily switch between the two "screen modes", as all you simply need to do is to press the Wave's main button, which is located in between the Call and End-Call button.

It offers a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, front camera for 3G experience, autofocus, face and blink detection, image stabilization, Lomo Shot, Vintage Shot, Beauty Shot, Smile Shot, Panorama Shot, geo-tagging, and built-in Image Editor.

The Samsung Wave S8500 phone also supports Samsung HD video recording and DivX, XviD playback. Audio specs include 3.5-mm jack, FM Radio, Music Player with SoundAlive, Music Recognition, Music Recommendation, and DISK UI. The phone works on 2.5G (GSM/ GPRS/ EDGE) : 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz and 3G (WCDMA/ HSPA) : 900/2100 MHz networks.

Connectivity specifications of the Samsung Wave S8500 phone consists of Bluetooth v 3.0, USV v2.0, WiFi at 802.11 b/g/n, memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
